Vern Swanson, Sr. C.P., is a Certified Prosthetist, General Manager and Clinical Director of patient care and research and development. He has more than 23 years of experience in designing, fitting, and fabricating custom prosthetic devices. He attended Northwestern University Medical School Prosthetic Orthotic Center. He received his Certificate in Prosthetics in 1978 and was certified in Prosthetics in 1979. He frequently lectures at continuing education seminars for the advancement of prosthetic design and prosthetic management. Vern has developed several patient management techniques and prosthetic components. He has collaborated with the University of Toledo Engineering Department and Medical College of Ohio Gait Laboratory to improve patient care and to test prosthetic components and prosthetic technology. He developed QuickLite(TM), a lightweight cosmetic endo skeletal cover, and Simplex(TM), a lightweight endo skeletal hydraulic knee mechanism. Vern is a member and past president of the Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthesis, and is also a member of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics.


 

Doug Jones is an American Board Registered Technician. As a prosthetic user he understands the needs of our patients and what the device should do for them.  Doug is responsible for manufacturing the orthotic and prosthetic devices in our lab.  His 15 years experience and ability to work with a variety of materials is instrumental in helping us provide our patients with the best possible product.
